European Telecoms About to Sue Google

Last February César Alierta, executive president of the biggest Telecom company in Spain – Telefónica, advanced this surprising and disturbing new: Teléfonica intented to charge Google for the use of its networks. (silence)

I was terribly shocked. You know, this kind of move goes totally against the spirit of the Internet: Freedom, Openness, Equality, Neutrality… But of course, I dismissed it quickly thinking that kind of thing would never happen.

Well… I guess I am yet too naive. Time has proven me wrong as European Telecoms gather their strength to go to War with Google.
